Field Report on Civilians’ injury cases during the January 6th anti-coup Protests

 

239 injury cases among civilians have been accounted for to date, including 7 injury cases due to live ammunition, 6 of which are in unstable condition and a child reported among them, unstable abdominal injury case due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians.10 cases including a case of fingers amputation from a stun grenade

 

Wounded as below

- 7 injury cases due to the use of live ammunition 

- An injury case due to rubber bullet

- 10 injury cases due to a stun grenade

- 18 head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians

-3 eye injury cases from tear gas canisters

head injury cases due to solid object

-39 body injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians.

- 144 body injury cases due to batons beating and stamped

-3 injury cases caused by ran over the protesters with the security forces armoured vehicles.

- 9 cases of suffocation,one unstable

 

 

Khartoum State

 

Khartoum City’s Processions

 

A total of 150 injury cases were reported

- 6 injury cases due to a stun grenade

- 8 head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians

- 7 body injury cases due to tear gas.canisters aimed at civilians

- 126 body injury cases due to batons beating,stones-throwing and stampede

- 3 case of suffocation from tear gas

 

 

Omdurman City’s Processions

 

A total of 25 injury cases were reported

- 4 unstable ,injury cases due to the use of live ammunition

- 1 injury case due to a rubber bullets

- 1 head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians

- 4 body injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians 

-10 body injury cases due to batons beating,stones-throwing and stampede

- 1 case of suffocation from tear gas

- 2 injury cases caused by ran over with security forces vehicles

- 2 head injury case due to solid object

 

 

Bahri City’s Processions

 

A total of 61 injury cases were reported.

- 3 injury cases due to the use of live ammunition,two of them are unstable

-4 injury cases due to stun grenad

-An injury case caused by ran over with security forces vehicles

- 9 head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians

-3 eye injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians

- 3 head injury cases due to solid object

- 28 body injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians

-10 body injury cases due to batons beating,stones-throwing and stampede

-2 suffocation cases from tear gas

 

 

 

Regions:

 

 Madani City

 

- 3 suffocation cases from tear gas. one of them unstable

 

CCSD keeps the details of the abovementioned private to protect their rights and for their security

CCSD is investigating injury cases reported in the regions will release field reports once confirmed
