Field Report On civilians's injuries cases during the February 20th, 2022 anti-coup protests

Field Report on Civilians’ injury cases during the February 20th,2022 anti-coup protests.

In total, (92) cases of injuries have been counted so far, including (1) case of a facial injury( the cause of which has not yet been determined ) that caused fracture of the upper and lower jaw, (2) cases of live bullet injuries (both of which are stable), and (23) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters, (4) cases of eye injury (two of them due to tear gas canister), and (3) cases of run over.

 

The total number of injuries reached (92) cases, as follows:

 

- (1) A case of a facial injury - the cause of which has not yet been determined - that led to a fracture of the upper and lower jaw bones (stable).

- (2) cases of live bullet injury, to foot and to hand (the two cases are stable)

.- (5) cases of fragments injury , the source of which has not been determined (sound grenade / bullets)

- (2) injury cases of a stun grenade fragments 

- (23) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters.

- (4) cases of eye injury, two of which were caused by tear gas canisters.

-(4) Cases of head injury with a hard object.

- (29) cases of sporadic injury to the body from tear gas canisters

- (3) Cases of being run over by military vehicles (one of them resulted in a fracture of the femur)

- (11) isolated cases of injuries as a result of beating with batons, throwing stones, and stampede

- (8) cases of suffocation by tear gas

Total injuries (71) cases, as follows:

- (1) case of a facial injury of undetermined cause yet, led to a upper and lower jaw fracture (stable).

- (2) cases of live bullet injury, to foot and to hand (the two cases are stable)

.- (5) cases of fragments injury - the source of which has not been determined (sound grenade / bullets)

- (1) case of being hit by a stun grenade

- (16) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters.

- (3) cases of eye injury, two of which were caused by tear gas.

(4) Cases of head injury with hard objects.

.- (23) cases of sporadic injury to the body from tear gas canisters

- (3) Cases of being run over by Security forces vehicles (one of them resulted in a fracture of the femur)

- (8) isolated cases of injuries as a result of hitting with batons, throwing stones, and stampede

(5) cases of suffocation by tear gas

 

Bahri city processions and their localities:

 

Total injuries (18) cases, as follows:

 

-(5) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters

- (1) case of injury to the eye as a result of stone throwing.

- (6) isolated cases of body injury from tear gas canisters

- (3) isolated cases of injuries as a result of beating with batons, stone throwing and stampede

- (3) cases of suffocation by tear gas

 

Processions of Omdurman city and its localities:

 

Total injuries (3) cases, as follows:

 

- (2) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters.

- (1) injury case of stun grenade fragments 

 

CCSD will provide you with every update it receives in continuous field reports to expose the Military Council to the world.

 

 There are injuries in the field that were treated by field aid teams and are not included in the list.

 

The details of the aforementioned injured until the moment of the issuance of this report are confined to us to ensure their rights, and not sharing them is at the core of the professional obligation to respect their privacy.

 

.Any other injury that occurred in the regions are being investigated and an update will be published upon confirmation.
