Field Report of civilians injury cases during the February 21st,2022 anti-coup protests
In total, (159) cases of injuries have been counted so far, including (2) cases of live bullet wounds (both stable), and (27) cases of head injuries from tear gas canisters, including one that led to a fracture of the skull ,(stable), (2) cases of injury to the eye, and (9) cases of running over by Military Coup forces' vehicles .
The total number of injuries reached 159, as follows:
- (2) cases of live bullet injury, to foot and to thigh (all are stable)
- (2) case of rubber bullet injury (one of which resulted in a broken leg)
- (1) case of a gunshot wound to the hand
- (9) cases of run-over by vehicles belonging to the Military Coup forces
- (27) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters ,one of them resulted in a fracture of the skull bone ,(stable)
- (60) cases of sporadic injuries to the body from tear gas canisters
- (6) Cases of head injury with hard objects
- (2) cases of eye injury (one with a tear gas canister and the other with a stone)
- (4) cases of stun grenade injury
- (1) injury case of stun grenade fragments
- (25) isolated cases of injuries as a result of hitting with batons, throwing stones, and stampede
- (20) cases of suffocation by tear gas

- (7) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters one of them led to a fracture of the skull (stable)
- (31) cases of sporadic injury to the body from tear gas canisters
- (5) Cases of head injury with hard objects.

- (3) cases of stun grenade injury
- (1) injury case of stun grenade fragments
- (8) isolated cases of injuries as a result of hitting with batons, throwing stones, and stampede
- (1) case of suffocation by tear gas

- (1) case of a gunshot wound to the hand
- (9) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters.
- (1) case of injury to the eye by a tear gas canister.
- (1) Case of head injury with a hard object.
- (22) isolated cases of body injury from tear gas canisters
- (3) Cases of running over by Military Coup forces' vehicles
- (11) isolated cases of injuries as a result of beating with batons, throwing stones, and stampede
- (15) cases of suffocation by tear gas
Processions of Omdurman and its localities:
Total injuries (30) cases, as follows:
- (1) case of rubber bullet injury
- (1) case of a stun grenade hit
- (11) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters.
- (7) cases of sporadic injuries to the body from tear gas canisters
- (6) isolated cases of injuries as a result of beating with batons, throwing stones, and stampede
- (4) cases of suffocation by tear gas
CCSD will provide you with every update it receives in continuous field reports to expose the coup military council.
There are injuries in the field that were treated by field aid teams and are not included in the list.
The details of the aforementioned injured until the moment of the issuance of this report are confined to us to ensure their rights, and not sharing them is at the core of the professional obligation to respect their privacy.
Any other injury that occurred in the regions are being investigated and an update will be published upon confirmation.
