Field Report on Civilians injuries cases during the February 7th, 2022 anti-coup protests

Field Report on Civilians’ injury cases during the February the 7th anti-coup Protests.

 

In total, 193 cases of injuries have been counted so far, including (12) cases of injuries from live bullets, and (4) cases of injuries from pellet like projectiles fired by a weapon that is yet to be determined (possibly a shotgun). Among the latter group is a seriously injured, who is unstable and is admitted to intensive care unit, (35) head injury cases from tear gas canisters, and (6) cases of eye injuries.

 

The total number of injuries reached (193), as follows:

 

- (4) cases of injuries from pellet like projectiles fired by a weapon that is yet to be determined (possibly a shotgun). Among the latter group is a seriously injured, who is unstable and is admitted to intensive care.

- (12) cases of live bullet injury (all are stable)

- (2) cases of bullet fragments wound injury

- (6) cases of rubber bullet injury

- (7) cases of stun grenades injuries 

- (1) case of stun grenade fragments wound injuries 

- (35) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters

- (11) case of head injury with a solid object

- (6) cases of eye injury (a bullet wound and 5 injuries from tear gas canisters)

- (72) cases of isolated injury to the body by tear gas canisters

- (17) cases of sporadic injuries as a result of beating with batons, throwing stones, and stampede

- (19) cases of suffocation by tear gas

- (1) case of being run over by a military vehicle belonging to the regular forces

Khartoum City Processions and its localities:

- (3) Live bullet injuries (all are stable)

- (4) cases of rubber bullet injury

- (6) cases of stun grenades

- (28) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters

- (10) cases of head injury with a hard object

- (2) case of bullet fragments injury

- (2) case of eye injury - one of them with bullet fragments and the other with a tear gas canister.

- (47) cases of isolated injury to the body by a tear gas canisters.

- (15) sporadic cases of injuries as a result of beating with batons, stone throwing and stampede

- (11) cases of suffocation by tear gas

- (1) case of being run over by a military vehicle belonging to the regular forces

 

 

Omdurman Processions and its localities:

 

A total of (33) injury cases were reported:

 

- (6) cases of Live bullet injuries (all are stable)

- (1) injury case of a stun grenade

- (4) cases of head injury from a tear gas canisters

- (1) case of head injury with a hard object

- (3) cases of injuries to the eyes, all with tear gas canisters

- (11) Cases of isolated injury to the body by a tear gas canister

- (7) cases of suffocation by tear gas

 

Bahri processions and their localities:

 

A total of (27) injury cases were reported,

 

- (3) cases of Live bullet injuries (all are stable)

- (2) cases of rubber bullet injury

- (1) Injury case by a stun grenade

- (3) cases of head injury from tear gas canisters

- (1) case of injury to the eye by a tear gas canister

- (14) cases of isolated injury to the body by a tear gas canister

- (2) cases of sporadic injury as a result of batons beating, stone throwing and stampede

- (1) case of suffocation by tear gas

 

 

 

CCSD will provide you with every update it receives in continuous field reports to expose the Military Council to the world.

 

There are injuries in the field that were treated by field aid teams and are not included in the list.

 

The details of the aforementioned injured until the moment of the issuance of this report are confined to us to ensure their rights, and not sharing them is at the core of the professional obligation to respect their privacy.

 

Any other violations that occurred in the regions are being investigated and an update will be published upon confirmation.
