Field Report on Civilians injuries cases during the January 30th anti-coup protests

Field Report on Civilians’ injury cases during the January 30th anti-coup Protests.

 

180 injury cases among civilians have been accounted for to date, including 6 injury cases due to live ammunition, 19 head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at the civilians and 2 eyes injury cases one is due to tear gas canister and the other from gunshot fragments.

 

Total of (180) Wounded as below:

- 6 injury cases due to the use of live ammunition, all are stable.

- 1 eye injury case due to gunshot fragments .

- 4 injury cases due to rubber bullet

- 6 injury cases due to a stun grenade.

- 1 injury case of stun grenade fragments.

- 3 injury cases of unidentified fragments (could be of gunshots or stun grenade). 

- 19 head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians.

- 1 eye injury case due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians. 

- 51 body injury cases due to tear gas canisters.

- 55 body injury cases due to batons beating and stamped.

- 33 cases of suffocation caused by tear gas.

 

Khartoum State:

 

Khartoum City’s Processions

A total of 117 injury cases were reported.

 

- (2) injury cases of live ammunition, all are stable.

- (3) injury cases due to rubber bullets. 

- (3) injury cases due to a stun grenade.

- (3) injury cases of unidentified fragments (could be of gunshots or stun grenade).

- (13) head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians.

- (1) eye injury case due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians.

- (30) body injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians.

- (40) body injury cases due to batons beating, stones-throwing and stampede.

- (22) cases of suffocation due to tear gas.

 

Omdurman City’s Processions

A total of 18 injury cases were reported.

 

- (3) injury cases due to a stun grenade.

- (1) injury case due to a fragments of stun grenade.

- (4) head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians. 

- (4) body injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians. 

- (3) body injury cases due to batons beating,stones-throwing and stampede.

- (3) cases of suffocation due to tear gas.

 

Bahri City’s Processions

A total of 29 injury cases were reported.

 

- (4) injury cases due to the use of live ammunition, all are stable.

- (1) injury case due to rubber bullet. 

- (1) eye injury case caused by gunshot fragments 

- (2) head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians.

- (16) body injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians.

- (5) body injury cases due to batons beating,stones-throwing and stampede.

 

Regions:

A total of 16 injury cases were reported.

 

Al Qadarif City’s Processions:

- (1) body injury case due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians.

- (1) body injury case due to batons beating,stones-throwing and stampede.

- (8) cases of suffocation caused by tear gas.

 

Kassala City’s Processions:

- (6) body injury cases due to batons beating,stones-throwing and stampede

 

CCSD keeps the details of the abovementioned private to protect their rights and for their security.

CCSD is investigating others injury cases reported in the regions will release updated reports once confirmed.

This report didn't include the cases that treated by the field teams.
