Field Report on Civilians’ injury cases during the January 17th anti-coup Protests
167 injury cases among civilians have been accounted for to date, including 52 injury cases due to live ammunition, 3 of which are in unstable condition treating at the intensive care, 14 head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at the civilians and 3 eyes injury cases due to tear gas canisters
Wounded as below:
- 52 injury cases due to the use of live ammunition
- 3 injury cases of gunshots fragments
- 4 injury cases due to rubber bullet
- 5 injury cases due to a stun grenade
- 3 injury cases of stun grenades fragments
- 14 head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
- 3 eyes injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
- 37 body injury cases due to tear gas canisters
- An injury case with solid object
- 42 head injury cases due to batons beating and stamped
- 3 cases of suffocation caused by tear gas
Khartoum State:
Khartoum City’s Processions
A total of 122 injury cases were reported
- (46) injury cases of live ammunition, 2 cases are unstable
- (3) injury cases due to a stun grenade
- (7) head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
- (27) body injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
- (1) An head injury case with solid object
- (33) body injury cases due to batons beating, stones-throwing and stampede
- (2) injury cases due to rubber bullets
- (2) injury cases of gunshots fragments
- (1) eye injury case due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
Omdurman City’s Processions
A total of 4 injury cases were reported
- (2) head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
- (1) body injury case due to batons beating,stones-throwing and stampede
- (1) eye injury case due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
Bahri City’s Processions
A total of 39 injury cases were reported
- (5) injury cases due to the use of live ammunition.
- (2) injury case due to stun grenad
- (4) head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
- (1) eye injury case due to tear gas canister aimed at civilians
- (10) body injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
- (8) body injury cases due to batons beating, stones-throwing and stampede
- (3) cases of suffocation due to tear gas.

Regions:
Madani city
- (1) Unstable neck injury caused by the live immunition of the security forces
- (1) head injury case due to tear gas canister aimed at civilians
CCSD keeps the details of the abovementioned private to protect their rights and for their security
CCSD is investigating injury cases reported in the regions will release field reports once confirmed
