Field Report on Civilians’ injury cases during the January 9th anti-coup Protests
96 injury cases among civilians have been accounted for to date, including a stable injury case due to live ammunition to leg and 9 injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
Wounded as below
- A stable injury case due to the use of live ammunition to leg
- 7 injury cases due to a stun grenade
- 8 head injury cases from tear gas canisters
- 13 body injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
- A head injury case due to solid object
- 41 head injury cases due to batons beating and stamped
- 25 cases of suffocation by tear gas
Khartoum State
Khartoum City’s Processions
A total of 63 injury cases were reported
- 5 injury cases due to a stun grenade
- 5 head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
-10 body injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
- 21 body injury cases due to batons beating, stones-throwing and stampede
- 22 cases of suffocation due to tear gas
Bahri City’s Processions
A total of 32 injury cases were reported
- A leg injury case due to the use of live ammunition by the Security Forces
- An injury case due to stun grenad
- 3 head injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
- A head injury case due to solid object
- 3 body injury cases due to tear gas canisters aimed at civilians
- 20 body injury cases due to batons beating, stones-throwing and stampede.
- 3 suffocation cases from tear gas
Omdurman City’s Processions
- An injury case due to stun grenad
- This report didn't include the cases treated by the feild and mobile clinics
- CCSD keeps the details of the abovementioned private to protect their rights and for their security
- CCSD is investigating injury cases reported in the regions will release field reports once confirmed
